Update (3)

So, edits for the PDF/epub have been finalized and are in the typesetting process. (please don’t ask for a timeline because I’m not sure, depends how busy the typesetter is IRL)  You can rest assured that once they’re done, there will be a big message on this page and some links.  You’ll be like, the fifth people to know. The current chapters up to the end of chapter 15 will be updated with all the changes that were made sometime in the next week and Cynaris will let you guys know with a message here when he’s done.  Once all that is done, we’ll be talking about when to continue the translation, but it should be soon(tm).

In the meantime, go watch/read that wotaku ni koi wa muzukashii anime/manga (it’s a really funny romcom for geeks and it’s NOT a school setting, thank god) or read the webnovel for Battle Through the Heavens or The King’s Avatar or something (they’re both good, google them). The 1500+ chapters for those should keep you busy till we start translating again =p

    • I don’t actually read too many WNs TBH. I read a *lot* though. I’ve read like 15 LN volumes in the last 10 days or so. Strongest gamer, the one about the guy that comes back as a vending machine in a fantasy world (surprisingly good) That time I got reincarnated as a slime, the devil is a part timer, Outbreak Company, The magic in this other world is too far behind.

As far as actual novels go, I swear by anything Brandon Sanderson writes. That man is the god of fantasy. The Mistborn trilogy or Elantris are good places to start. I think Warbreaker is available for free in e-book format if you’re unsure about spending money on his novels right off the bat. The Chronicles of the Black Company by Glen Cook. The Codex Alera by Jim Butcher, The Lotus War Trilogy by Jay Kristoff (that’s japanese mythologyxsteampunk, pretty interesting stuff) The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, and if you like really heavy philosophical high fantasy where all the characters are already mature without having to watch them grow up from teenagers and you don’t mind tons of main characters dying, The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steve Erickson. Oh, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman is also fantastic (the first book of that series is The Golden Compass). I’ve got lots more, just not web novels XD
